I've played several basses in this price range and the SR300E blows them away. The neck is incredibly fast and the EQ lets me dial in any tone I need for church gigs or jam sessions.
Sound and playability are fantastic once I had it set up properly at my local shop. Out of the box the action was a bit high, but after adjustment it plays like a dream.
Lightweight enough for 3-hour sets and the tone is punchy enough to cut through a mix. Switched from a Fender Jazz copy and haven't looked back.
Changed the strings immediately but otherwise this bass has been reliable for both studio recording and practice. The EQ options are genuinely useful, not just marketing fluff.
