The Zildjian A Custom Cymbal Pack delivers the bright, cutting, and articulate sound that has made the A Custom series a favorite among rock, pop, and fusion drummers since its introduction. This pack typically bundles a set of 14" A Custom Hi-Hats, a 16" Crash, an 18" Crash, and a 20" Ride, giving drummers a complete, gig-ready setup right out of the box. Each cymbal is crafted from Zildjian's proprietary B20 bronze alloy, hand-hammered and lathed to produce a modern, brilliant finish with a shimmering, present tone. The A Custom line strikes a balance between musicality and volume, making it equally suited for studio recording and live performance. The hi-hats offer crisp, controlled chick sounds with a bright wash when opened, while the crashes deliver fast, explosive attacks that cut through dense mixes without becoming harsh. The ride cymbal provides a clear stick definition with enough complexity in the wash to blend into fuller musical passages, making it versatile across genres from pop to progressive rock. Bought individually, assembling this same combination would cost significantly more, so the pack offers real value for drummers looking to outfit a complete kit at once. Whether you're a gigging musician needing a dependable, professional-quality set or a studio player wanting a bright, present cymbal sound, the A Custom Pack is designed to perform reliably night after night, session after session.
Customer reviews
I replaced my beginner cymbals with this pack and the difference is night and day. The crashes are bright and explosive, and the hi-hats are super tight for funk grooves.
Buying these separately would've cost me a lot more. The ride is a little brighter than I expected, but it works great live where I need to cut through guitars.
Used this pack for both a studio session and a bar gig the same week. Sounded fantastic in both settings. The crashes especially have that classic A Custom shimmer.
I was worried A Customs would be too trashy sounding for my taste, but they're actually really musical. Great for pop and rock. Wouldn't recommend for jazz though.
